Released on January 7th, adidas celebrates the Chinese New Year in subtle style through the use of some of its more recognizable models. Specially designed CNY insoles are one of the several small-but-significant details that make up this collection. The three models in question are the Superstar, the Stan Smith, and the Tubular Radial. In its own way, Adidas’s celebratory pack covers a relatively wide span of the brand’s footwear history. Still, each comes with a uniform selection of details.
Along with the previously mentioned insoles, we also see dark hues as the base of the upper. On top of this are interesting details such as feathered heels and embroidered graphics celebrating the Year of the Rooster. As a touch of added luxury, each of these uppers sports a premium leather build. These sneakers are about as subtle as celebratory packs get, all while maintaining a uniqueness linked to the Chinese New Year.
