Twenty years after its debut, CLIMACOOL returns with a groundbreaking upgrade that redefines the concept of ventilation and fit.

In 2002, adidas introduced a new way of thinking about comfort in sports: CLIMACOOL. Rather than focusing strictly on performance, it aimed to enhance the athlete’s experience in high-heat conditions through an innovative airflow system. It first appeared in footwear, and soon expanded to shirts, pants, and accessories—quickly becoming a benchmark in technical design.
Now, two decades later, CLIMACOOL is back stronger than ever. The new adidas CLIMACOOL LACED marks a major leap forward, taking the technology to a whole new level. Built using a unique 3D printing process that takes 24 hours, this shoe is made from a single piece—seamless and layer-free—maximizing flexibility and fit. Its multidimensional lattice structure not only boosts airflow, but also creates a striking look that traditional manufacturing methods can’t replicate.

Inspired by transformative, adaptive structures, the adidas CLIMACOOL LACED hugs the foot and delivers 360-degree ventilation. The CLIMACOOL system disperses sweat and keeps your feet cool, dry, and distraction-free all day, even under extreme conditions.
The launch campaign, directed by acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Gabriel Moses, stars elite sprinters Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield—athletes who embody speed, power, and adaptability.
With the CLIMACOOL LACED, adidas celebrates 20 years of innovation while redefining functionality for the future.
