Nike Air Vapormax 2 x ACRONYM
Nike’s relationship with ACRONYM has given us some seriously memorable silhouettes. Part of the reason behind that has to do with founder Errolson Hugh’s understanding of the Swoosh’s different design approaches.
After the last few releases from these partners, we’ve seen ACRONYM’s comfort with distinct models such as the Presto and Air Force 1. Now, we get the latest collaborative drop in the form of the ACRONYM x Nike VaporMax Moc.
From the functional design elements to its wild aesthetic, this shoe seems to strike all the right notes. The VaporMax midsole might be the most noteworthy functional element here.
This time around, Nike and ACRONYM decide to throw some color on the sole. It makes for a refreshingly complex look compared to the outsole’s usual icy look. Then, we can’t miss that upper.

This colorway is nicknamed “Johnny’s Icy passage.” The visually striking motif consists of an aggressive Black/ White scheme.
Ever the pragmatist, Hugh opts for Nike’s premier base material, Flyknit. Interestingly, we also get a Moc contribution on the upper, inspiring its lace-free build.
Combining Flyknit with a lace-free construction is perhaps as low key as an ACRONYM design gets. It’s not exactly covered in straps and extra bits, but this rendition of the VaporMax is a breath of fresh air for the shoe.
To this point, variety in the build hasn’t exactly been a focus for the VaporMax. The incorporation of the Air Moc’s laceless design and the painted midsole is a nice touch here, making for a pretty unique look.
As always with ACRONYM x Nike releases, you can expect these bad boys to fly off the shelves pretty quickly. You can also bet that resell prices on this VaporMax Moc will be sky high!
