Designed for unrestricted movement and to stay cool in any situation, adidas’s CLIMACOOL technology has evolved from its performance roots into a symbol of advanced design and urban versatility.
Its latest reinvention redefines what we expect from a sneaker in terms of comfort, breathability, and aesthetics.

From performance to the streets: a story of intelligent ventilation
First launched in 2002, adidas Climacool introduced a revolution in the world of sports performance. A technology used in both footwear and apparel, it focused on maintaining airflow to prevent a drop in performance. With mesh panels and strategically placed ventilation zones, Climacool gear kept the body at an optimal temperature even during intense training sessions. Football jerseys, technical pants, and sneakers with breathable mesh and outsole vents—all were designed to channel airflow and reduce overheating.

Over the years, this technology moved beyond tracks and gyms to become a staple in urban culture, with collaborations involving David Beckham and Coca-Cola.

The new CLIMACOOL: made like nothing, feels like nothing
In its boldest version yet, adidas introduces a CLIMACOOL model crafted through additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology. The result is a structure that wraps around the foot like a second skin, offering 360° ventilation and an ultra-light sensation. Visually minimal, it features the three stripes on the side and abandons traditional shapes in favor of a futuristic aesthetic.

The model is built on a unisex last based on real-world testing across genders, providing a more natural and universal fit. Integrated heel pillows and arch support enhance the experience, delivering a combination of innovation and comfort.
At FOOTDISTRICT, you’ll find different versions of the new adidas CLIMACOOL available.
