The Second Industrial Revolution was a period in the history of the world. It was a time when technology developed very quickly and a lot of new things were done. But it was also the start of globalisation, due to massive migration. And one of those migrants plays the main role in this history, William J. Riley<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When he got to the United States, this young salesman wanted to change the lives of the American working class. He wanted to improve their lives. Inspiration came as it usually comes: a bit of scientific method (observation) and a bit of luck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

William designed his flexible arch insert while observing his backyard chickens and how their threw claws could adapt to any surface without compromising balance. And, of course, the rest is history. This, and no other, is the origin of the New Balance Arch Support Company<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n
