But what he sure never imagined was that basketball would go way farther than Massachusetts: and that it would even be as important as it is nowadays in Europe .&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even more: <\/span><strong>it is impossible to understand current basketball without the influence of the &lsquo;80s and &lsquo;90s European basketball<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, two decades ran by an area, that of the Adriatic sea, full of talent in every sense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/footdistrict.com\/media\/wysiwyg\/cms\/blog\/Blog-fd-adidas-heritage_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the &lsquo;80s, when Italian was spoken all over the courts of the <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pallacanestro<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, change came and extreme competitiveness arrived from the other side of the Adriatic. <\/span><strong>Greece and the former Yugoslavian republics became, in their own right, the ones who ruled over European basketball.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/footdistrict.com\/media\/wysiwyg\/cms\/blog\/Blog-fd-adidas-heritage_3.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>AN EXPLOSION OF TALENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><strong>turn of the decade<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> not only brought professional players into international competitions, but it was also the moment when European basketball took a step forward in many respects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Better tactical systems and, above all, the appearance of talents able to seize that <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">momentum<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> forever left a mark on the history of a sport that has left big names and moments for history.
