Last week we presented HALFTIME, a space where you can talk and share knowledge about a very special adidas model. Although if we say that for this we invited Danilo Amerise and Carlos Bru\u00f1a may not say too much, things change when we mention their aka’s: Dano and Cruz Cafun\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through our partnership with adidas, we were able to bring together two of the most recognized spanish-speaking rappers of recent times. How could it be otherwise, one of them was Dano. The artist, in addition to being a rapper, is a producer, director and beatmaker, among other things. He is also co-founder of one of the fundamental pillars of hip hop in Spanish, the Ziontifik collective. However, both Dano and his band have not dedicated themselves exclusively to making music, but they also stand out for their aesthetic taste and concern for streetwear.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Cruz Cafun\u00e9, the undisputed protagonist of the current music scene. In 2019, his track with Don Patricio \u2018Contando Lunares\u2019 was the most listened to song of the year in Spain. However, he became known a couple of years back, around 2015, with the BNMP collective \u2014 Broke Ni\u00f1os Make Pesos \u2014 alongside Indigo Jams, Ellegas and Choclock. Three years later, BNMP dissolved but Cruzzi’s career has done nothing but grow since then. This 2020 he has presented his new solo album \u201cMonlight922\u201d.<\/p>\n

Both artists visited HALFTIME to talk about their personal connection with the adidas Superstar<\/a> since they were kids, the cultural journey that this sneaker model has had and, of course, about this new version that pays tribute to Run-DMC to celebrate its 50 years of history.<\/p>\n

Why with Run-DMC? Well because, after the success of their song \u2018My adidas\u2019, they established the importance of the sneaker world within hip hop culture. So much so, that the group received a million and a half dollars to become official brand ambassadors. Since that moment, adidas and Run-DMC have launched several Superstar, Ultrastar and have collaborated with artist Keith Haring.<\/p>\n
