This time, in a cruelty free version. But this is not the only step adidas takes to make footwear animal free.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65965\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.footdistrict.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/magefan\/footdistrict-adidas-samba-vegan-2-1.jpg\" alt=\"Samba-adidas\" width=\"1000\" height=\"605\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 2018, adidas launched their first vegan version of one of their most legendary models. They did this in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/footdistrict.com\/en\/adidas\/f\/ll\/stella-mccartney-adidas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Stella McCartney<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>well-known for her approach on sustainability and environmental care<\/strong>. That\u2019s how the vegan Stan Smith appears, followed now by the Samba and the Continental 80. Both feature the \u201cAdidas Original Vegan\u201d logo embossed as part of a collection called \u201cOur Icons Go Vegan\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>And we are not just talking about leather here. In a sneaker, even certain materials which might seem to not be related to animals, usually includes certain processes that go back to animal products. This is for example the case for glue, which is fully vegan in this Samba. Furthermore, the Continental 80 also use an ecological EVA foam for the midsole, made out of a foam derived from seaweed that helps to clean contaminated water.<\/p>\n<p>The Samba boast adidas\u2019 distinctive terrace style, about to now conquer new territories. <strong>The new model remains completely faithful to the original design<\/strong>, with the characteristic T toe to pay homage to its roots.
