Not only is their Air Jordan 7-inspired collab collection finally releasing worldwide (including here at Foot District<\/a>!), but \u2013 out of nowhere \u2013 they\u2019ve gone ahead and launched their newest store: Patta Milano. Keen to find out more, we reached out to Patta cofounder Tim Sabajo for all the goss on Patta\u2019s past, present and future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Matt Williams (M.W.) \u2013 Congratulations on Europe\u2019s first Jordan<\/a> collab! What inspired the colourway behind your Air Jordan 7 collection?<\/b><\/p>\n

Tim Sabajo (T.S.) \u2013 <\/b>Like most of our collabs, it’s a homage. The colours, and the Air Jordan 7 itself, remind us of a time when we were young.<\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013 Is that why you were drawn to the AJ7 specifically?<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013 <\/b>Because of that and also because it\u2019s a Jordan model that not many have collaborated on so far.<\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013\u00a0If you had a chance to collaborate on another Jordan, which model would you choose and why?<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013\u00a0<\/b>More is actually coming, so you\u2019ll have to wait and see!<\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013\u00a0Jordan collabs are some of of the most desirable and unobtainable in the entire scene. Tell us, how did the collaboration come about?<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Hard work and dedication! We just do what we do. Plus, we have always had a good relationship with Nike<\/a><\/strong>, so one thing led to another.<\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013\u00a0Patta has one of the most impressive collaboration records in the entire sneaker scene. Do you have a personal favourite?<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013\u00a0<\/b>The first ASICS<\/a><\/strong> we did [the GEL-Lyte III from 2007], because it showed us what we can achieve if we just do what we do.<\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013\u00a0Are there any particular sneakers you are still waiting to collaborate on in the future?<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013\u00a0<\/b>No, not really at this point in time.<\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013 We\u2019re nearly at the halfway point through the year. What\u2019s your favourite sneaker of 2019 so far?… apart from your AJ7, of\u00a0course!<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013\u00a0<\/b>It\u2019s actually one that is still yet to be released: the Nike React Sertu, I love that shoe!<\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013\u00a0So, Patta\u2019s just expanded to Milan. What drew you to Italy?<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013\u00a0<\/b>It’s Milan. C’mon, that’s almost a no brainer! [laughs]<\/i><\/p>\n

M.W. \u2013\u00a0Finally, what\u2019s next in the pipeline for Patta?<\/b><\/p>\n

T.S. \u2013\u00a0<\/b>We\u2019re just going to keep on doing what we do.<\/p>\n
