Retro Tech with the\u00a0Nike Air Max Deluxe OG<\/h2>\n

The Nike Air Max Deluxe OG<\/strong> is all the 90s footwear styling you could ask for. This retro is, admittedly, a long time coming. The Air Max Deluxe comes to us while boasting some of the most recognizable Nike tech out there.<\/p>\n

The midsole’s full-length Air cushion is an innovation we more readily recognize on the Air Max 97<\/strong><\/a>. But, the Deluxe has its own appeal here as well. Primarily, it comes in the form of that incredibly unique upper.<\/p>\n

The whole point of this upper’s design was to create something that flows and is “seamless.” That sort of mindset makes one wonder if the inspiration behind tech such as Flyknit has been coursing through the company this whole time. In any case, it is executed here in truly remarkable fashion.<\/p>\n

The base material involves a one-piece TPU exoskeleton. Upon a closer look, you’ll notice little slits all along the upper that look like ventilation units. In fact, they’re just part of the aesthetic. This dotted look is part of the reason why this visual is so memorable.<\/p>\n

Knowing all of this, these latest colorways really jump out at you. The Midnight Navy look absolutely screams old school glory. The color combination is reminiscent of the psychedelic music and lifestyle of the 70s, using the Deluxe’s unique upper to give off a slightly disorientating effect.<\/p>\n

The Sequoia Green iteration has a similar approach but in a more dramatic finish. The base of this edition is in a mix of Olive and White. The most visually compelling element comes via a sharply contrasting shade. Bright Crimson cuts and curves through the upper to make for a cinematic tone. It looks like something out of a graphic novel, frankly.<\/p>\n
