The shoe came to our relative attention thanks, as always, to some clever marketing by the Swoosh.

Nike dropped this shoe last year as part of a larger athlete-focused campaign. Breaking2, as it was called, centered around the lofty goal of breaking the 2-hour marathon record. The campaign involved the real gruel training that the three selected runners had to undergo.

Moreover, it was also a clever way to pin the shoe to a remarkable story. Interestingly, Nike was never able to claim to break the 2-hour marathon, barrier, with Eliud Kipchoge coming the closest, just a quarter of a second over the record time.

But, the failure to hit this running milestone wouldn’t prove detrimental. As it turns out, the point of this venture wasn’t to bank the shoe’s marketing on whether or not the record was achieved.

The Nike Zoom Fly SP is made to make a difference

Instead, Nike gained a significant amount of product momentum simply from attempting the feat in the first place. Of course, it helps to have the media and content firepower of some of the world’s premier advertising agencies behind it.

Nonetheless, the Zoom Fly had officially arrived. Despite all three of Nike’s runners arriving a bit later than they wanted, the shoe itself got off to a pretty fantastic start.

Not even weeks after the shoe officially dropped, it was spotted on feet at London’s Fashion Week in the Summer of 2017. The Crimson colorway, the very first to come from this new runner was already a hot ticket style item thanks to its marketing campaign along with a futuristic form that pointed to function.

Though it certainly looked the part of a bleeding edge runner, it wasn’t all about the visuals. The Zoom Fly SP comes equipped with all of the trappings of an elite running model. The upper is in a lightweight mesh and the support features help maintain stability on just about any run.

Of course, you also get the main tech draw on this shoe, the carbon-infused nylon plate, offering some serious energy return and impact protection. All in all, it’s an elite performance shoe that looks to be capable of withstanding the test of time as a fashion item as well.

Available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes, you can cop these over at our shop now!

Made to Run: Nike Zoom Fly SP The Nike Zoom Fly SP White Crimson returns to us a full year after its original release, celebrating its original and maintained glory.

[63
{"0":"post-6084","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-noticias
["GET
