Presenting Kappa Kontroll<\/h2>\n

Kappa Kontroll<\/a><\/strong> represents a lot in the grand picture of Italian fashion. As with many other major names in the industry, there is quality, imagination, and a whole lot of revenue. But, condensing its history down to those parts makes it almost indistinguishable.<\/p>\n

However, a closer look at Kappa’s lineage shows us just how unique it was and still is. In this spirit, Kappa Kontrol is a sort of reminder of this interesting story. In perhaps the most ironic turn for a brand of its reputation, the formation of Kappa was, essentially, an accident.<\/p>\n

From all fashion to high fashion:<\/h2>\n

Back in 1916, in the city of Turin, a company was founded. This company’s premise was, as most fashion enterprises during this time, simple: making socks<\/strong><\/a> and underwear of the highest quality. It’s hard to believe, but Kappa’s boisterous style originally starts off as a provider of the least visible of fashion items.<\/p>\n

That being said, Maglificia Calzificio Torinese, as it was called, earned a reputation for the craftsmanship of their wears. The budding Turin start-up develops into a source of national pride while building quite the fanbase. It’s that same base that would be disappointed by what must’ve felt like the brand’s first actual mistake.<\/p>\n

During the 1950s, MCT went through a bit of a crisis. The company had sent out a batch of socks that was not up to its own lofty standards.<\/p>\n

Inevitably, their customers noticed and purchases were sent back in droves. All of a sudden, after four decades of remarkable success, an Italian mainstay saw a risk to its spotless reputation. MCT’s response would prove decisive.<\/p>\n

After getting all of the faulty socks returned, the company’s response was to mark the pairs to follow with the word “Kontroll,” highlighting the first letter. This K became a breakout hit and fans couldn’t get enough.<\/p>\n

Originally a damage control measure, the K symbol was now the talk of all MCT fans in the late 1950s onward. Thus, the Kontroll brand is born.<\/p>\n
