{"id":5893,"date":"2018-02-21T16:24:30","date_gmt":"2018-02-21T15:24:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/52.30.207.235\/air-jordan-3-retro-og-black-cement-live-painting\/"},"modified":"2018-02-21T16:24:30","modified_gmt":"2018-02-21T15:24:30","slug":"air-jordan-3-retro-og-black-cement-live-painting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.footdistrict.com\/en\/air-jordan-3-retro-og-black-cement-live-painting\/","title":{"rendered":"In-store Live Painting for Air Jordan III Retro OG &#8220;Black Cement&#8221; Release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past Saturday, February 17th, the talented local Madrid artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/erik_arenas_\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Erik Arenas<\/a> did a live painting in our store in celebration of Michael Jordan&#8217;s birthday and the release of the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/footdistrict.com\/en\/sneakers\/f\/b\/jordan\/zm\/jordan-3\/\">Air Jordan 3<\/a> Retro OG <\/strong><em><strong>Black Cement<\/strong>.<\/em> As shoppers strolled through the store, they stopped to gaze and wonder as the artist worked on his\u00a0imaginative representation of the Air Jordan III <em>Black Cement<\/em> and <em>White Cement,<\/em> which seemingly dripped down the bottom of the circular canvas. Every color and detail of the shoes, from the black and white leather to the classic elephant print to the touch of red on the inner tongue, was intricately assessed by artist and viewers alike, as a true appreciation of the shoes was in full light. Facebook followers around the world were able to join in on the action, as a phone, set up on a tripod beside the artist, filmed the whole process and streamed it on Facebook Live. The oil painting is now being auctioned off (auction close date: February 27th), with all proceeds going to charity.
