Sorry, fellas. This one’s for the ladies<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jordan Brand<\/strong> is rolling out a special edition of the Air Jordan 8, just for Valentine’s day<\/strong><\/a>. This iteration will be one of the most premium renditions of the legendary sneaker in quite some time.<\/p>\n The Air Jordan 8<\/strong> has, sadly, not been getting quite as much love as some of the other retro models. But, thanks to some noticeable material upgrades and a to-die-for color scheme, it returns here in truly glorious fashion. Bulk takes on some brashness in the Air Jordan 8 “Valentine’s Day”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The shoe’s material is decked out in a smooth suede all throughout. It makes for a much less aggressive build on a sneaker that is typically all about the tech. Straps and all, the Air Jordan 8 has always been a purely functional sneaker.<\/p>\n The design signaled a momentary shift in the Jumpman’s design approach. Though preceding models were relatively heavy to wear, there was a sharpness to their form.<\/p>\n Not so with the AJ 8. But, this special release looks to make a dent in that reputation. The Red is a bold choice but works well with the materials and accompanying shades of Pink<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The Valentine’s theme spreads to the shoe’s packaging as well. Seems like we’re getting some romantic hues on the sneaker’s box, complimented further by smaller details on the shoe itself.<\/p>\n An insole is always a great place for some extra design touches, and Jordan Brand doesn’t ignore this. Each sneaker has a variation of a popular theme. One sneaker says “Loves Me,” while the other admits “Loves Me Not.” It’s just one small detail in what appears to be a pretty solidly executed Valentin’s Day release.<\/p>\n The Jumpman<\/strong> is not new to this whole Valentine’s Day things. They’ve hit it out of the park with some of their older models, including absolute legends such as the Air Jordan 12.<\/p>\n The use of suede on the upper is a particularly interesting choice as it takes away from the overly aggressive look of the Air Jordan 8. Picking this as the item of Valentine’s Day release is a good way to show the dynamism behind Jumpman designs.<\/p>\n
