The brand is closing the 30th Anniversary celebration of the <a href=\"https:\/\/footdistrict.com\/en\/sneakers\/f\/b\/nike\/zm\/nike-air-max-1\/\"><strong>Nike Air Max 1<\/strong><\/a> with a bang. Two original stunning colorways from the Nike archive, the <strong>Air Max 1 Obsidian<\/strong> and the <strong>Air Max 1 Aqua<\/strong>. Before getting into this 2017 renditions let\u2019s talk a little about the history of the Nike Air Max 1 and of this two particular colorways.<\/p>\n<p>The first commercial production date known of Tinker Hatfield&#8217;s masterpiece takes us back to 1986, with the \u201cbig bubble\u201d version that was released in 1987. By then, in the two most recognizable color schemes, White\/Red for men and White\/Royal for women, the ground zero for the Air Max line. There\u2019s no official explanation, but this particular version was on the market only for a few months. In that same year Nike hit the market with a second version with a reworked sole unit in both original colorways. A smaller Air unit and the two engraved lines throughout the PU midsole instead of the original heel placement, features that are shared by any Air Max 1 today.<\/p>\n<p>Later that year two more colorways joined the original Air Max 1 family has part of Nike catalog, the Nike Air Max 1 \u201cObsidian\u201d for men and the Nike Air Max 1 \u201cAqua\u201d for women. The release year is not clear, if late 1987 or early 1988 there\u2019s shoes with different production dates.<\/p>\n<p>For 2017 the two iterations remain pretty close to the original, the Nike Air Max 1 \u201cObsidian\u201d cames dressed in it\u2019s classic patriotic colorway, White base upper with Obsidian and Light Grey suede and some hints of red on the tongues, insoles,lace locks and \u201cNike Air\u201d on the heels. As for the Nike Air Max 1 \u201cAqua\u201d, features the same white mesh, contrasted with Aqua suede on the mudguard and Swoosh and purple accents.
