These sneakers were called \u201c<strong>Foster Deluxe Spike<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">After Joseph died his sons, James and John, took over the company and, intending to turn its image around, changed its name to <strong>Reebok<\/strong>, which comes from a <strong>gazelle<\/strong> that lives in <strong>Africa<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">It was in the <strong>early 80\u2019s<\/strong> when, with the release of an <strong>aerobics<\/strong> model called <strong>Freestyle<\/strong>, <strong>Reebok<\/strong> got to the first line in sports footwear. In addition, the company was purchased by <strong>Paul Fireman<\/strong>, who decided to promote it further in the <strong>USA<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The brand started to make a name for itself and inside the company they didn\u2019t stop innovating, until in 1989 <strong>Reebok<\/strong> released one of the most <strong>cutting-edge technologies<\/strong> at the time: the <strong>Pump technology<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">It allows the wearer to<strong> inflate air chambers<\/strong> located along the <strong>upper<\/strong> of the sneaker, so that it completely <strong>fits your foot<\/strong>. That\u2019s why many <strong>elite athletes<\/strong>, in spite of the high price of the sneakers with <strong>Pump technology<\/strong>, would choose them for their daily training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Models like the <strong>Reebok The Pump<\/strong> were used for <strong>basketball<\/strong> practice. They show a sober <strong>colourway<\/strong> with <strong>dark blue<\/strong> combined with a lighter tone.
