The origin of Reebok<\/strong><\/a> goes all the way back to England<\/strong> in 1890<\/strong>, when Joseph William made his own athletics sneakers<\/a><\/strong> by hand by adding nails<\/strong> to the sole<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Soon this hobby<\/strong> turned into a business, and he ended up manufacturing sneakers for the best english athletes<\/strong>. These sneakers were called \u201cFoster Deluxe Spike<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

After Joseph died his sons, James and John, took over the company and, intending to turn its image around, changed its name to Reebok<\/strong>, which comes from a gazelle<\/strong> that lives in Africa<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was in the early 80\u2019s<\/strong> when, with the release of an aerobics<\/strong> model called Freestyle<\/strong>, Reebok<\/strong> got to the first line in sports footwear. In addition, the company was purchased by Paul Fireman<\/strong>, who decided to promote it further in the USA<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The brand started to make a name for itself and inside the company they didn\u2019t stop innovating, until in 1989 Reebok<\/strong> released one of the most cutting-edge technologies<\/strong> at the time: the Pump technology<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It allows the wearer to inflate air chambers<\/strong> located along the upper<\/strong> of the sneaker, so that it completely fits your foot<\/strong>. That\u2019s why many elite athletes<\/strong>, in spite of the high price of the sneakers with Pump technology<\/strong>, would choose them for their daily training.<\/span><\/p>\n

Models like the Reebok The Pump<\/strong> were used for basketball<\/strong> practice. Other models, like the Reebok Pump Court Victory<\/strong> were used by tennis players<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Reebok<\/strong> also launched models for aerobics that featured this technology, such as the Reebok The Pump Aerobic Lite<\/strong> or the Reebok Pump Running<\/strong>, intended for running<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Most of the athletes of that time wanted the pump-up sneakers<\/strong>, and so did we at foot District<\/strong>. Although we shouldn\u2019t forget that other lines of this brand are just as awesome!<\/p>\n

Bearing this in mind\u2026 we are pleased to announce that Reebok has arrived at foot District<\/a><\/strong>! And we want give a warm welcome to the two first models of the brand that we have just received.<\/span><\/p>\n

Firstly, we want to introduce the Reebok LX 8500. They show a sober colourway<\/strong> with dark blue<\/strong> combined with a lighter tone. They also feature white<\/strong> and grey<\/strong> details, with a perfect result.<\/p>\n

The high quality materials<\/strong> used on this Reebok LX 8500<\/strong> are suede<\/strong> and mesh<\/strong>. They feature a heel stabilizer<\/strong> that makes walking easier<\/strong>, and the legendary brand logo<\/strong> with the United Kingdom flag<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Secondly, we have the Reebok Pump Running Dual. When they appeared they were intended for running<\/strong>, and today that characteristic essence is still easily perceived.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Their aggressive silhouette<\/strong> and wide sole<\/strong> remind us of its origins. They feature Pump technology<\/strong> which, as we said before, helps the sneaker fit<\/strong> the wearer\u2019s foot completely, thanks to air chambers<\/strong> on the sneaker\u2019s upper<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This upper<\/strong> comes mostly in black leather<\/strong>, featuring red<\/strong> and neon yellow<\/strong>, a color that is also present on the sole<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pump<\/strong> is not the only technology<\/strong> on these Reebok<\/strong>, their sole<\/strong> also features Hexalite technology<\/strong>, based on the addition of little hexagonal air chambers<\/strong> on the sole<\/strong>. These chambers<\/strong> improve cushioning on each step, spreading the impact more evenly.<\/p>\n

For the moment we can only enjoy these two models, but stay tuned because we will soon received many more :).<\/p>\n
