{"id":4822,"date":"2013-03-29T08:00:41","date_gmt":"2013-03-29T07:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/52.30.207.235\/augmented-reality\/"},"modified":"2013-03-29T08:00:41","modified_gmt":"2013-03-29T07:00:41","slug":"augmented-reality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.footdistrict.com\/en\/augmented-reality\/","title":{"rendered":"Augmented reality"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 15px;\">Coming back to the issue of the representation of the reality, over two months ago i started my post with the question: Does the photography show a true copy of the reality? <strong>I used a picture from Michiko Kon<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/footdistrict.com\/en\/blog\/fresh-sneakers\/\">Cuttlefish and sneaker 1990<\/a>) to meddle about how we see the world through our eyes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 15px;\">After some time of reflection, with the aim of clearing up a bunch of doubts and stiring up those who thought they were right, i&#8217;ve transcripted below a story related by the anthropologist Rodney Needham.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 15px;\">&lt;&lt;It is said &#8211; I don&#8217;t remember the source- that Picasso was reproched for distorting the human traits and make them unrecognisable. The critic maintained that a portrait should look like the person depicted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 15px;\">Picasso, who didn&#8217;t agree, hinted that the issue wasn&#8217;t that simple; the idea of being exactly like something was more complicated than the interlocutor&#8217;s supposition. Then, the critic took out of his pocket a photo of his wife, showed it to Picasso and say: &#8220;Here you are.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 15px;\">This is my wife and that&#8217;s how she looks.&#8221; Picasso looked carefully at the small picture and asked, suggesting surprise: &#8220;is she exactly like that?&#8221; The critic, with great confidence, confirmed that the picture showed exactly his wife appearance. &#8220;Hmmmm&#8221; Picasso said, &#8220;isn&#8217;t she very small?&#8221;\u201d&gt;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><div id=\"attachment_65035\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" width=\"300\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-65035\" src=\"https:\/\/footdistrict.com\/media\/magefan_blog\/picasso-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Picasso\" width=\"300\" height=\"356\" \/> <em>Picasso and augmented reality<\/em><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 15px;\">The M\u00e1laga-born artist, with his usual brilliance &#8211; inside and outside the canvas &#8211; demonstrated that it&#8217;s not possible to make a true copy of the reality, <strong>the aesthetic shape is already an interpretation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 15px;\">Something similar happened another time, or maybe in the same; Due to the protests from a customer who claimed that the portrait didn&#8217;t represent correctly the model, the author of Guernica replied, &#8220;Don&#8217;t worry. It will finally look like her&#8221;. His way of looking went beyond the evident.
