With the latest collaboration between Nike<\/strong> and Stash<\/strong>, we revisit the evolution of their projects from 2003 to today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stash grew as an artist while the streetwear movement flourished<\/strong>, eventually founding iconic stores and brands like Subware, Recon, and Nort\u2014true pioneers in collaborating with artists like Futura<\/strong>. Perhaps this trajectory is why Stash became the first artist to collaborate with Nike. In 2003, he introduced his first Air Force 1, which maintained his connection to street art while steering clear of clich\u00e9s, using the nozzle of spray cans as inspiration. Three versions of this model were dedicated to New York, London, and Tokyo, reflecting his personal style while embracing subtlety. Inspired by this design, Nike released new iterations in 2008 (“One Night Only” and “Black Nozzle”) and again in 2017, adding reflective elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2004, Stash paid homage to Nort\/RECON<\/strong>, his pioneering streetwear store, with two versions of the Air Force 1 Mid<\/strong> featuring a custom print designed specifically for the space.
