After school, he went with his father, who ran a restaurant in Chinatown. Edward Hopper, Alexander Wang, and Tom Ford<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

He studied at Parsons School of Design<\/strong>, a design school where designers Tom Ford, Narciso Rodriguez, Isaac Mizrahi or Alexander Wang and artists Edward Hopper, Jasper Johns and Norman Rockwell also studied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manga and Anime<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

His creations, now known as “coquette,” were inspired by his teenage years spent watching manga and anime.<\/p>\n\n\n

Collaboration as a creative impulse<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

He has collaborated with brands including Nissan<\/strong>, Salomon<\/a><\/strong>, Baggu<\/strong>, and Little Beast<\/strong>, which turned his designs into dog clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n

The hottest jacket at New York Fashion Week<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, she surprised the world (and herself) with a garment she despised as a child: fleece jackets. Unisex, boxy, with unexpected prints and neon details, The New York Times<\/strong> named it “The hottest jacket at New York Fashion Week”<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Mary Jane<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Mary Jane<\/strong>, a type of shoe that closes with a strap on the instep, is one of its primary references, alongside bows and brocades. The name Mary Jane is derived from the comic book character Buster Brown.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandy Liang x Salomon<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Her collaboration with Salomon began while she was developing her Spring 2022 collection. They were looking for footwear that the models could wear on the runway, and their stylist, Dean Di Criscio<\/strong>, recommended Salomon. Sandy Liang, who was already familiar with the RX Moc 3.0, accepted the offer. The result is one of the most surprising alliances of recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n
