An idea inspired by a love of golf that defies all expectations. A golf brand for people who will never be accepted into a golf club. For those who enjoy the 90s golf style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metalwood, Cole Young’s brainchild<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cole Young<\/strong> fell in love with golf at the age of three, when he picked up his first club. He once considered going pro and was a member of the varsity team at Loyola Marymount<\/strong>, but his personal development led him to design and management. Young began his professional career in golf, but not with clubs, but with equipment manufacturers. As a result, he discovered a new path that was linked to a glorious and inspiring era for a sport that saw a surge in popularity and creativity in the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metalwood Studio<\/a> began as a moodboard, a landscape in which Cole Young placed golf references and styles from the 1990s that were out of the ordinary, and in which humor and the fairways competed with the same intensity as the sport itself. In a world of numbers and in which technology is renewed every season, Young was interested in style and having a good time. Golfers sporting pleated baggy trousers, white visors and unexpected sponsorships. Fred Couples, Tiger Woods, or John Daly from a perspective that some might associate with skateboarding or basketball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating the Metalwood Studio<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Metalwood transitioned from moodboard to tangible elements as a constant opposition; it is vintage inspired but does not reproduce vintage garments; it approaches higher price points while remaining unpretentious; it is golf-related, but its garments can be worn anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metalwood’s goal is to preserve those nineties feelings through a collection that includes clothing, accessories and golf equipment with a vintage touch. Metalwood is an ode to 90s golf style<\/strong>, with obscure references to players and brands from the time that have no bearing on the overall vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vintage golf is conceived as a profoundly contemporary mode of communication in which humor and memes are as important as the product itself. Metalwood is not only changing the way golf is perceived, but it is also paving the way for a more inclusive and diverse future for the game. Metalwood is introducing a new generation of golfers<\/a> to the game by emphasising style and attitude over traditional rules.
